Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) recently finished its annual toy drive, celebrating another year of generous donations that brings happiness to children and families in need across Melbourne.

For the past 3 years, MRC staff have participated in this initiative, and this year was no exception.

Staff members donated toys which were placed in a toy box crafted by prisoners working in timber-prison industries.

The variety of donated toys included puzzles, dolls, trucks, sporting goods, and arts and crafts supplies.

This year, the Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) joined forces with MRC in the toy drive, with all donations going to Melbourne Tautoko Whanau (MTW).

The Chairman of MTW visited MRC to collect the donations and prepare them for distribution to families in need within Wyndham City.

The Chairman was very grateful for the donations, noting the increasing number of people in need due to the current economic climate.

MTW aims to help families enjoy a stress-free Christmas, alleviating some of the hardships they face.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this year's toy drive a wonderful success.
