International delegations that would like to visit a prison must seek permission from the Commissioner, Corrections Victoria.
In most instances, delegations greater than 5 people cannot be supported.
How to apply
Email your request to DJCS-CV-OOC@justice.vic.gov.au (External link).
All requests must include:
- a letter of endorsement from the head of your institution stating:
- their support of your visit
- the date(s) of the visit
- the names of each proposed delegate
- authorisation from your country's embassy stating:
- their support of the proposed visit
- the contact details of a staff member for Corrections Victoria to liaise with
- a copy of the passport page with the photo and name of the delegate (you must attach a copy of the page for each delegate).
