There have been a number of cases of influenza detected in the Victorian community this year.

Corrections Victoria is working with Justice Health to limit the impact on prisons, the criminal justice system, and the wider community.

Strategies are in place to limit the impact of influenza on people in prison and additional infection control measures have been implemented.

People who have recently been ill, have symptoms of any respiratory illness (fever, sore throat, cough, muscle and joint pains, tiredness/exhaustion), or have been in contact with someone who is ill are requested to postpone unnecessary prison visits.
