07/04/16 April 2016 Best practice with women offenders This report by the Monash University Criminal Justice Research Consortium was undertaken by the Australian Institute of Criminology for Corrections Victoria in 2015. It reviews current literature on approaches to delivering housing support for prisoners returning to the community. The literature review reinforces earlier findings that prisoners released into stable housing are less likely to reoffend than those experiencing homelessness or unstable accommodation.
