Justice Health Communicable disease framework 2017
Communicable diseases are a key health priority for Victoria’s prison system. Prison entrants have very high rates of some bloodborne viruses and are more likely to have engaged in behaviours that put them at greater risk of acquiring bloodborne viruses and sexually transmissible infections.
The updated Justice Health Communicable disease framework 2017 sets out the Department of Justice and Regulation’s goals and objectives for action on communicable disease.
